As well as guitar pins Wilkie also undertakes other artistic commisions. These have included a full size replica of Eric Clapton's Cream era SG, a tribute to Jimi Hendrix, painted leather jackets and a 1/24th scale model of George Harrison's Mini from the film "Magical Mystery Tour".

His other main interest is Black and White photography and he has produced a series of limited edition prints.

Wilkie still lives in Fife, Scotland with his wife Susan and sons John and Angus.
